One-off services

Not every family needs a presence all year round. Some want advice before having work done, a big clean after years without care, or simply a visit on a particular date. These services are ordered one by one.

Each is ordered on its own, paid once, and opens no subscription: nothing here commits you. Our regular presence plans, for their part, run for 12 months, renewed tacitly each year. The amounts are net, TVA non applicable, article 293 B du CGI.

Our advice

Before committing to anything on a grave, it is worth understanding the place, the stone and what can really be expected of it. That is what these services are for.

Flower advice & installation

Finding an arrangement that looks like them.

We study the light, the surroundings and the materials of the grave, then we suggest two or three arrangements made for it, in fresh or dried flowers. You choose the one you like; we can then take care of buying it, bringing it and installing it on the grave.

Would you like us to take care of the rest?

Once you have chosen your arrangement, we send you a quotation covering the arrangement, its holder if it needs one, the journey, the installation on the grave and the photos. The installation on its own covers bringing the flowers, the trip to the cemetery, finding the grave, setting everything in place and the photos.

A visit to the cemetery first: if the available photos do not allow a proper study and a trip is needed before we can suggest anything, any extra cost is told to you beforehand.

Condition report & restoration support

Understanding the state of the grave, and being supported if work is needed.

Granite, marble and limestone do not age the same way and do not take the same treatments. We draw up a condition report of the monument, we tell you what deserves your attention, and we stay beside you if work has to be done.

Racine du Souvenir takes no commission on the cost of the work, nor on the introduction to the stonemason you choose. Our support stays independent, and the choice of professional belongs entirely to the family.

If you choose the full support and no work is finally carried out, €120 is refunded to you. If you first choose the condition report and then wish to move to the full support, €120 is due.

This is the deep clean, the one you do when a grave has been left untended for a long time. A deep clean suited to the material, moss and lichen removed, the surroundings fully weeded, ornaments cleaned and put back in place.

Finding and passing on

Remembrance work

Finding, writing down, passing on. What your family still knows, and what it has begun to forget.

Finding a grave

Finding a place the family has lost sight of.

Sometimes all that is left is a name and a town. We go through the registers, we call the cemetery and we go there in person to find the grave precisely. Then we bring you back photos of it.

A search through the cemetery registers and archives
Contact with the cemetery office and the keeper
Locating the grave on site, and its exact position
Photos and a plan so you can find the place
A check on the status of the plot lease

The price depends on what you know at the outset. A further quotation may be offered if the search has to be widened to several towns or cemeteries.

One-off services are paid when ordered, by card. An invoice is issued each time, carrying the note « TVA non applicable, article 293 B du CGI ».
Prices apply to a single or family grave of ordinary size. We go to every cemetery in Essonne and to the neighbouring towns, just south of Paris, setting out from Viry-Châtillon. For somewhere further afield, write to us: we will answer you honestly. A large vault or a difficult access is priced on quotation.
We do no stonemasonry. Engraving, fixing and monument restoration belong to qualified craftspeople, to whom we point you. Two quotes are brought to you, at no extra cost to you.
