Choose the rhythm of your presence

Three levels of care, from a seasonal visit to full memorial support. All three include gentle cleaning, weeding by hand, dried flower arrangements, photos after every visit and access to your family space.

You commit for twelve months, one full year of care and attention for the grave. At each anniversary the subscription renews for a further twelve months, unless you cancel by registered letter received at least one month before the contract’s anniversary date. The amounts shown are net, TVA non applicable, article 293 B du CGI. We work across the whole of Essonne (91) and neighbouring towns.

Plan 01

Essential Presence

Four visits, one each season. This is the plan for people who mainly want to be sure the place is not falling into neglect, and that someone really goes. You have nothing to arrange: we go, we look after the care and the preservation of the grave, and you hear from us.

A gentle presence, four times a year.

Plan 02

Continuous Presence

Eight visits a year, roughly one every six weeks. Families choose this plan when they want the place to look right on the dates that matter to them, and when they want to be able to ask us for something between two visits.

Everything in Essential Presence, and on top of it:

  • We look at the grave in more detail

    • The joints, the ornaments and anything added to the stone
    • Anything we find out of order is reported to you as quickly as we can

  • We take particular care over the flowers

    • A fuller arrangement than in Essential Presence, following the rhythm of the seasons
    • A selection suited to spring, summer, autumn and winter
    • Flowers chosen to sit harmoniously in the place of remembrance

    The vase is not included. It is available as an extra service on request.

  • We plan our visits first around the dates that matter

    • All Saints’ Day, birthdays, anniversaries of a death, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day
    • Your dates are placed first in our schedule, subject to our availability and to the notice period

  • We can come sooner if needed, at your request

    • A vase knocked over

    For small things like these, we try to come without waiting for the next visit.

Heritage Presence

One visit a month and full support. This is the plan for families who live far away, or who want one person to turn to for everything about the grave: the flowers to choose from our selection of bouquets, the paperwork with the cemetery, the quotes from stonemasons when the monument needs real work.

    • The first vase is on us if one is missing, chosen from our selection

  • We tell you about the visit, in detail

    • High resolution photos
    • A fuller account of the state of the stone
    • What we noticed, and what we would advise

  • We do everything we can to meet your particular requests

    • A keepsake left on the grave
    • A letter or a note left there
    • Extra photos, if you want them

    • Within the limits of the services offered and of what can be done on site

    Objects and plaques are provided by the family. On request and subject to availability, we can also take care of buying them; the purchase and the journey it requires are then billed to you separately.

    • We give them our details so they can alert us directly if they notice a problem with the grave
    • If there is damage or an unusual situation, that contact makes exchanges easier and speeds certain steps up

Before the first visit

Restoration clean, on quotation

Some graves need an initial restoration clean before regular care can be set up. When that is the case, we tell you plainly, before the visits begin.

  1. You choose a plan, then send us a recent photo of the grave, telling us whether there is already a vase there.
  2. If the place is in good shape, everything is confirmed directly and we set the first visit.
  3. If not, we send you a personal quote for the restoration clean, drawn up once we have studied your photos, to accept before regular care begins.

What it costs

On quotation, once we have seen your photos. It is billed separately from the subscription, once, and does not change the monthly price of your plan.

The subscription

Commitment, restoration clean, changing plan

The questions that come up before subscribing.

How long is the commitment?

12 months, renewed tacitly for the same length at each term. A plan only makes sense once it has been through all four seasons. To end it, send us a cancellation request by registered letter, received at least one month before your contract’s anniversary date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid: the visits already paid for are made.

Is there VAT to add to the prices shown?

No. Racine du Souvenir falls under the French VAT exemption for small businesses, TVA non applicable, article 293 B du CGI. The amounts announced are net, with no tax to add, no set-up fee, no extra charge per visit: Essential Presence at €59 a month, Continuous Presence at €99 a month, and Heritage Presence at €169 a month. This note appears on each of your invoices.

Can I change plan along the way?

Yes, from your family space. The change takes effect on your contract’s anniversary date, for the next billing period.

What if the grave is not fit to start regular care?

Some graves need an initial restoration clean before regular care can be set up. When that is the case, we tell you plainly, before the visits begin. That restoration clean is the subject of a personal quote, drawn up once we have studied the photos of the grave: we never price a job without having been able to judge its state. It is billed separately from the subscription and applies once only. You remain entirely free to accept or to decline the quote; if you decline, you can give up setting the subscription up.

What happens to my photos and memories if I stop?

They stay yours. The space remains open to read after cancellation, long enough to download everything, and nothing is deleted without a warning email. The exact times are set out in our privacy policy.

Can I subscribe for a grave far from where I live?

That is actually the most common case: the subscription is tied to the grave, not to your address. We go to every cemetery in Essonne and to the neighbouring towns, just south of Paris, setting out from Viry-Châtillon. For somewhere further afield, write to us: we will answer you honestly. Just tell us the town and the cemetery concerned: we will confirm, openly, whether we can go there before you subscribe.
